Video shows “Reign” after ground training for 8 weeks and under saddle for less than three. The video was taken July 2, 2011. The under saddle trot sequence was only his fourth ride at the trot. Reign has made wonderful improvements since this video was taken. He was started with great care and enjoys the work. His three active cadenced gaits include a super big canter, natural engagement, and show good ridability. He has never bucked under saddle. From his famous sire, Winterprinz, Reign has inherited huge dressage potential and head turning looks. From his Dam, Testament, granddaughter of Cordelabryere, herself a grand-prix jumper in her youth, he has inherited a yet untapped ability to jump. Reign will make an awesome partner for the competitive, adult amateur. He is 16.2+h, and has a big body to match his height. He is a sweet, “I’ll follow you anywhere” horse. Reign was raised on rocky mountain pastures for strong feet and bones. He has never needed shoes. He has been fed from his conception, a specialized diet at the advice of a knowledgeable veterinarian. He clips, ties, loads, and bathes. Reign has no soundness issues. I took him out to the hills...through puddles deep enough to fill my shoes as he splashed through them...slopes steep enough that we slid down them to the bottom...trails that were so washed out that most would deem them impassable as we jumped down into the wash and then scrambled our way up the other side. It was so awesome! I had such an incredible time, I believe I have missed that kind of riding since I've been on the east coast. He proved that he is the most reliable, sure-footed, willing creature!! He made me believe in myself again...he made me remember what I used to love...he certainly paid me back for everything I gave him."
